This Bengali New Year, Shalimar's proudly presents its special culinary offering — মৎস্য কাহন (Fish Tales), a recipe book dedicated to the timeless love for fish in Indian households (and especially Bengali homes).
This collection features 50 recipes across 20 varieties of fish, bringing together the best of traditional favourites, fusion creations and restaurant-style dishes.
What makes it even more special is that every recipe is simple and easy to recreate at home, allowing everyone to experience authentic flavours in their own kitchen.
Every recipe has been crafted using Shalimar’s Chef Spices (red chilli, turmeric, cumin, coriander, garam masala, blended spices) and Shalimar's Cooking Oils (mustard, sunflower and soyabean).
This initiative is a heartfelt effort to preserve cherished recipes for future generations. It is truly a tribute to all fish lovers who celebrate Bengal’s rich culinary heritage.
Alongside this, we have also launched a special Bengali calendar dedicated to the legendary Uttam Kumar, commemorating his 100th birth anniversary.
This unique calendar features 12 iconic directors and 12 memorable films, along with engaging trivia on every page — making it a collector’s delight for all Uttam Kumar admirers and cinema lovers, celebrating a legacy that has truly stood the test of time.
