When Bengal’s Hip Hop Scene Took Centre Stage — Shalimar’s Was Proud to Be a Part of It.
Something electrifying unfolded on 4th April'25 at Princeton Club, Kolkata.
For the very first time, Bengal witnessed its own Hip Hop music festival — Block Party Kolkata.
An iconic night where homegrown artists, raw talent, and real stories came together to create history.
Curated by Gaboo (Gaurab Chatterjee of Lakkhichhara), Block Party wasn’t just about music. It was a cultural shift — a loud and proud celebration of Bengal’s emerging Hip Hop scene.
And Shalimar’s was right there, supporting every beat, every rhyme, every voice — as one of the proud sponsors of this movement.
From the fiery verses of Ronbale, Beaturtle & The B.O.N.G,
To Cizzy ft. Banglar Thek setting the vibe,
The energy of Street 24,
The lyrical power of Bohiragoto ft. Cizzy & BC Azad,
The dynamic Nocturnal Collective ft. Yung Vision,
And the electrifying sounds of Death By Anjuna...!
This stage belonged to Bengal’s real voices.
The energy? Electric.
The crowd? Unfiltered.
The voices? Pure Bengal. Pure Power.
For Shalimar’s — a brand rooted in Bengal for generations — this was about more than music. It was about standing by a new generation of creators and dreamers rewriting the cultural narrative of Bengal.
Because Bengal’s stories deserve to be heard.
Its artists deserve their stage. And its culture deserves to be celebrated — Loud and Proud.
