Comedy Ketton is an initiative by Shalimar’s to uplift the standup comedy scene in Bengal.Standup Comedy in India has grown exponentially since 2015 but Bengal was always behind. Artists were regularly participating in open mics to test their material but were always in the lookout for a bigger opportunity to showcase their talent.Comedy Ketton has given young artists the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of a larger audience.Comedy Ketton also became the first platform in Bengal to give the Bengali audience enjoy Roast Comedy in their mother tongue.

 

In season 1, Actor Ankush was the main guest for the Roast and panelists comprised of popular artists like Saurav Palodhi, Debi Saha, Anindya Sengupta, Soumit Deb and standup comedians like Soumit Deb, Shiladitya Chatterjee, Sayan Chakraborty and Sarnajit Bala.

 

In season 2, Singer Silajit Majumdar was the main guest and panelists comprised popular artists and personalities like Moupia Nandy, Saurav Palodhi, Sayan Ghosh, Soumit Deb and was hosted by Shiladitya Chatterjee and Sarnajit Bala.
